Be Careful Little Eyes What You See...

Remember that song? We have all sung that song either as a child or to our children. However, in this day-in-age how much more important is it to not only protect our own eyes but especially our children? Well, let me introduce you to SAFE EYES.

Safe Eyes, part of internetsafety.com and McAfee, is a safe internet filter for a home or business

using one or multiple computers and mobile devices. It is clean and user-friendly with all the tools you need to protect you and your children. It guards, monitors daily activity, and can even enforce time restraints. We've been using it in our home and on our iOS devices (iPhone, iTouch, iPad) for over 2 years.

Safe Eyes is easy to install and configure to your specifications. You can block or black list specific sites, or block specific categories like, pornography, alcohol, hate-sites, gambling, IMs, even social-networking. You can also customize the schedule for each user and limit the overall time a user can be on the internet. In addition, you can request regular reports from Safe Eyes about the approved or blocked sites that users have visited, or tried to visit, and what was said in instant messaging conversations. The latter is especially useful if you worry about your children being confronted by predators in chat rooms or via IMs. You can even receive immediate alerts when someone tries to access a particular forbidden site. You can receive these usage alerts via email, text message and telephone calls so that you can have real-time information about a particular user’s activities.

The ONLY downside, and it is minor at best, is it may make your internet run a little slower as it has to “filter” through your requests. However, Safe Eyes offers great protection for you and your family, is easy to use and highly affordable. We live in a world where knowledge is coming to us “to and fro” on our smart phones, iTouch, iPad, laptop and stationary computers, we need to protect our eyes – the windows to our soul – if I have to wait 3 seconds instead of 2 to find what I’m looking for on the net that is not asking too much. Besides, patience is a virtue, right?
